WBC Kids Church
Kids Church is designed for ages 1 to grade 8 and focusses on God’s plan for our lives and encouraging children to be life-long followers of Jesus. During the school term, Kids Church runs during both services and is where the children have the opportunity to play, create, sing and learn in ways that are appropriate to their developmental stage. We use small groups to help build relationships as we move through a series of rotational activities.
This week:
If you can’t join us for Kids Church this week, you can watch the story online so you don’t miss out!
What to expect
Kids Church is for everyone with Junior Kids for our toddlers and preschoolers, Kids Church for primary-aged kids and Discovery Life Groups for our high-schoolers. We believe that following Jesus is the best decision you could make.
8:30am Service
Primary-age children will meet their group leader at their group’s coloured flag in the foyer (at approximately 8:45am) and then move to the Hall for their worship and bible teaching input before heading off to their small group for some time discussing, applying, playing and connecting. Primary-aged children can be picked up after the service from the Hub (near the front where the coffee cart is located).
Our Junior Kids Church Program is full of fun, sensory activities for our youngest kids (aged approximately 18 months old to Prep) and operates in the purpose-built area that is accessed off the foyer. Children younger than 18 months of age are welcome to attend but may require a parent or guardian to stay with them. Pick up is at the Junior Kids area after the service.
10:00am
Discovery Life Group is held at 10am every fortnight during school terms. It is open to all high schoolers, and is a great time to dig deep into God's word together and support each other in our faith walk. Our great desire is that you would know Jesus personally and be better equipped to take Him to the world. It finishes at 11:45am in line with the end of the 10:30am service.
10:30am Service
While Kids Church doesn't run during the 10:30am service in its usual form, kids (and parents) can access activity packs. These packs will follow the same themes and passages as our Kids Church program and will include a retelling of the Bible story, mazes, colouring pages, activity sheets, and links to watch the story at home and listen to some of our favourite Kids Church songs- making it easier for families to move between the 8:30am and 10:30am services as needed around life and family rhythms, while still feeling connected.
We look forward to having you and your family as part of our Sunday program.
Faith Pathway
Faith Pathway is a simple booklet with ideas to help you as you guide your child in their journey towards a life of faith in Jesus. We would love to see your child and your family establish patterns of behaviour that will help their faith grow strong and be able to withstand challenges that will come their way.
