Andrew took on the role of families pastor in early 2018 after spending the previous 8 years with his wife, Julia, as missionaries in Togo, West Africa . Andrew and Julia have four children Leila, Elouise, Levi and Evelyn who they love to bits. Andrew and Julia both grew up on the bayside and Andrew worked as a welder and primary school teacher, before entering the mission field. Andrew and his family are driven by the single principle that Jesus is King and His last words are our first responsibility (Matthew 28 18-20). His desire is to equip God’s people to see themselves as agents of the King and to engage themselves in living out His last words. He loves to see new life come into homes and hope catch fire in people’s hearts. In his spare time Andrew loves hanging out with family, eating good food, spending time near the water swimming, boating and fishing.
Mathew joined Wynnum Baptist at the beginning of 2019 as the Youth and Young Adults Pastor. Him and his wife Esther enjoy spending quality time with each other through getting outdoors, eating good food, and spending time with friends. Mathew studied a Bachelor of Theology at Brisbane School of Theology. He has a heart for disciples making disciples and seeing Christians become who they are in Christ.
Ed Marshall was born in Durban South Africa in 1949. While serving in the Air Force, Ed came to faith in 1969 and very soon after that experienced God’s call into vocational ministry. He entered seminary in 1972 and graduated in 1975. Ed has been in active pastoral ministry since then, except for a three year stint as a crop duster / self funded missionary pilot. During his time at seminary he met and married Jenny Muggleton the daughter of a missionary. Jenny is a registered nurse, who since coming to Australia in 1998, has worked in aged care with Carinity Care. They have a son, a daughter and four grandchildren. Ed’s hobbies include travel, fishing, sailing and DIY home projects. Jenny enjoys travel, photography, gardening and grandchildren.
Ed was called to serve as the pastor to seniors at Wynnum Baptist Church. His role is to support the church’s vision of reaching our community for Christ and disciple them into fully functioning followers of Jesus Christ.
Graham has been a pastor and evangelist for the past 35 years, preaching and teaching extensively across Australia and the South Pacific. He has a great passion to see God’s people spiritually revived and renewed and become effectively equipped to reach their family and friends for Christ. He has developed the Focus on Red program which he uses with churches throughout Australia and the South Pacific to bring focus on Renewal, Evangelism and Discipleship. He has recently taken on responsibilities at Wynnum Baptist Church as the Pastor Evangelist leading and equipping the church in evangelism. Graham is married to Andrea and together they have 7 adult children and a growing number of grandchildren.
Tanya has been a part of Wynnum Baptist since 2002 and oversees the Children’s ministries in the church. Tanya has a genuine love for children of all ages and has completed a Bachelor of Education and Bachelor of Music. She also oversees various other special events in the life of the church. Tanya is married to John they have two daughters, Amelia & Bethany and one son, Isaac.
Maddy has been a part of Wynnum Baptist since 2010 and coordinates the worship ministry and assists in other areas of service coordination. She has a degree in psychology and is currently studying a bachelor of ministry at Malyon College. Her greatest joy is leading God’s people in worship and she has a deep passion to see others grow in their daily worship of God.
Mary-Ellen has been involved at Wynnum Baptist since 1979 and has worked in the church office since 1990. Mary-Ellen has 3 adult children (John, Susan & Anne-Maree) who are all married. She has 5 grandchildren which she loves spending time with. One of the things which she enjoys about her role in the office is being able to support our ministries leaders thereby making their load lighter.
